This is the home of James Larkey in Scott County, Virginia. James Larkey was born in 1810 in Scott County to John Larkey and Margaret Brashears. James married Eleanor Cattron in 1833. She was the daughter of Peter Cattron. This poplar log home was built the same as many of the homes in the area were built at that time. They raised 12 children here in this home on Timbertree Branch. The old home place burned down some years ago.
